i MINUTES June 9 , 1994 3 BOARD OF HEALTH Mr. McQuaid stated, "Water samples were taken from out- side each trailer. " "Of the nine samples taken five were above recommended limit ranging from .5 to 3 . 5 p.p.m. . " "They were sporadic throughout the park. " Mr. Doherty questioned whether any efforts were made to correct the problem. Mr. Haney responded, "I did consult with an engineer to clean out the pipes. " "I do plan to hookup to town water in three years. " Mr. Doherty informed Mr. Haney, "Three years is to long. " Mr. Haney commented, "The park is in better condition than it was with the previous owner." Mr. Doherty informed Mr. Haney, "The water must meet the Safe Water Drinking Act standards. " Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Mr. Haney has not complied with conditions for well and septic upgrades as agreed. " Mr. Aldridge stated, "Mr. Haney has ignored the letters I have forwarded to him. " "I even sent them to his Boston address. " Mr. Haney commented, "I never received the letters at my mailing address." Mr. Bengal questioned why her water was not tested. Mr. McQuaid responded, "Water tests were conducted ran- domly. " Mr. McQuaid agreed to test Ms. Bengal's water at no charge. Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I spoke with Town Counsel and the Attorney General's office in regards to this Board's author- ity. " "We may revoke the license and fine Mr. Haney for each day of noncompliance. " Mr. Haney commented, "I have been working with an engi- neering firm for the possible construction of a treatment plant. " "That is why I am waiting to upgrade the septic sys- tems. " "I have made repairs on the septic system servicing units #1 & #2 . " Mr. Doherty informed Mr. Haney that he must retain an engineer to layout a new distribution system. "You may want the engineer to begin replacing sections of the system that will meet Water District requirements. "
