MINUTES March 9, 1995 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification" form." <br /> 46 Cayuga Avenue - Mr. Evans relayed, "There are two cesspools which have failed." <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification" form. <br /> 7.) A.P.C.C. Action Alert - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "This has to do with the Plume <br /> Management Team that all the surrounding communities including activists and A.P.C.C. <br /> who devised the containment plan for all of the underground water pollution plumes could <br /> be contained simultaneously." "It was through the action of this team that I think the <br /> Department of Defense agreed to allocate $216,000,000.00 to do this work." "Now there <br /> is a change is attitude in Washington and thereby a change in attitude in Otis under the <br /> installation restoration program that would dissolve this team and all the work they have <br /> done." "This meeting is very significant to them and me." "I don't think we should allow <br /> this change to happen without further explanation from the military." "I would <br /> recommend the Board attend the meeting and voice their opinion." "Ms. Caffyn has been <br /> our representative on this team and worked very hard." "For the military to say thank you <br /> for what you've done and now we're going to dissolve this team and we going to <br /> prioritize our address of these plumes on our own it is really a slap in the face." "The <br /> meeting will conflict with an upcoming Board of Health meeting." <br /> Mr. Ball recommended the Board cancel the Board of Health meeting scheduled <br /> for that date and attend the meeting. <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> 37 Amos Landing Road <br /> Mr. Jack Landers-Cauley, P.E. was in attendance. <br /> Mr. Cauley stated, "I am requesting one variance on behalf on the owners." "We <br /> are requesting a 30' variance from the proposed on-site well to the proposed on-site <br /> leaching facility." "No town water is available." <br /> Mr. Ball requested the owner sign the affidavit which agrees to tie into public <br /> water once available. <br />
