MINUTES April 27, 1995 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 81 Hooppole Road - Mr. McQuaid informed Board members this matter was approved <br /> at last weeks meeting. <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 19 Birch Way - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The applicant is requesting the installation of a <br /> Bio-clere system as they propose to construct a four bedroom dwelling." "Local variances <br /> between the well and septic locations are requested." "The affidavit for water hook-up <br /> has been received." <br /> Mr. Ball commented, "The engineer did not delineate the footage for the variance <br /> relief." <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to continue the matter pending revised plans delineating the <br /> distances for the requested relief, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT - MMS Recycling Project <br /> Ms. Cheryl Shepley and Mr. Gus Frederick were in attendance for this scheduled <br /> appointment_ <br /> Ms. Shepley stated, "I though it would be a nice opportunity for the kids to <br /> operate a recycling project at the Transfer Station." "I thought the children could run a <br /> small business and do inventory, bookkeeping, set prices and students in each grade could <br /> learn how to propose grants for things not funded for the school." "I received permission <br /> from Dr. DeMoura." "I thought the children from the middle school and high school <br /> could operate the program." <br /> Mr. Doherty commented, "With the help of the contractor he could segregate <br /> certain items that appear to be useful." "There will probably be a Iiability issue." <br /> "Waivers may be required." <br /> Ms. Shepley stated, "The Youth Commission is probably taking that into <br /> consideration." "With some forethought and foresight we could probably set something <br /> up in the storage area." "People could deliver at certain times maybe twice a month." <br /> I <br /> Mr. Doherty relayed, "At one time we did consider a swap-shop." <br /> Ms. Shepley stated, "The items that come in would probably be at flea market <br /> prices. <br />
