"We designed the system to meet the 100' setback." "The <br /> homeowner thinks a denitrification system is an excessive expense for him." "What the <br /> homeowner is proposing is better than what is there." <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I would recommend you put in 4, 500 gallon dry wells <br /> with 4' of stone and request two sideline setback variances from the road which will <br /> obtain further distance at a higher level." <br /> Mr. Borselli stated, "Elevation wise, we're going to be at the same distance from <br /> groundwater." <br /> Mr. Evans commented, "You could use a pump system." <br /> Mr. Borselli commented, "Title V was created to help homeowner's in this <br /> situation by requiring the least intrusive way." <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "Variances weren't meant to be granted just for convenience." <br /> Mr. Borselli stated, "This is a failed system." <br /> Mr. Evans commented, "I my opinion, the homeowner needs to prove the <br /> hardship." <br /> Mr. Doherty relayed, "Shore of a denitrifscation system Mr. McQuaid has given <br /> you a workable alternative." <br /> Mr. Borselli stated, "There is a garbage disposal which will be eliminated." `Even <br /> with Mr. McQuaid's recommendation we will still need a variance from the 4' <br /> requirement." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "I would recommend, on the condition that the property <br /> owner does not increase space and he meets the 100' setback from wetlands, the Board <br /> approve plans as submitted with the strip-out." <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "The system could be moved over to maintain the greatest <br /> distance however, a sideline variance would be required." <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to deny the variance relief without prejudice, Mr. Doherty <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br />
