"We were hoping to have that grant before the end of this month so that the town would not have to immediately borrow funds for the closure and bid specs." "With this at least the town can apply for the funds." Mr_ Cram questioned, "What can the town do to overcome this political hurdle that is being thrown at us in regards to the town being the recipient of funds that we were promised and allocated?" Mr. McQuaid stated, "We have to be political in this." "We have to use Mr. Cahir and Mr. Rauschenbach and pressure Weston & Sampson to get us that money because if we don't push this politically it's not going to happen." Mr. Cram motioned to direct the health agent to draft a letter to the Executive Secretary indicating this Board's opinion about the $350,000.00 and how to obtain it, Mr. Doherty seconded. 7) Perc extension request 16 Metacom Road - Mr. McQuaid stated, `The perk test I witnessed in August of 1995 didn't have 4' of permeable material to groundwater." "Mr. Evans did one on May 11, 1995 and he hit groundwater at 6.4' with questionable soils above it." "These perk tests are three years old, I truly question whether this lot is buildable." Mr. Doherty questioned, "Have any plans been submitted so that they can test in that location?" Mr. Doherty responded, "No." Mr. Cram motioned to deny the request for a perk extension, Mr. Doherty seconded. At this time Mr. Ball rejoined the meeting_ 8.)
