24
Mr. Ball stated that he wouldn't mind going to the session. The he continued by
asking if the BOH members should consider taking Ms. Warden out of the loop on
this horse farm and let Mr. Harrington take it over because it is in her
neighborhood.
Mr. Doherty stated that prudence would dictate it if she where here.
Mr. Ball asked if Mr. Harrington should speak with her.
Mr. Doherty stated that he is going to by the neighbors' house and drop off his
cards. He suggested, just to avoid the appearance of any impropriety. Furthermore,
there is enough going on in town that the BOH doesn't have to burden her with
this particular one. Also, inferences were made which didn't make the situation
any better.
C. Two Health Agents at the Same Meeting
Mr. Ball stated that he had spoken to Mr. Harrington today about whether or not
we need both health agents here at the same time for every meeting. He felt that
because Ms. Garron and Mr. Harrington were on board there wasn't a need for two
health agents in attendance. Mr. Harrington kind of agreed with it. But, that if he
had to have her come in for specific reasons he would do it.
Mr. Doherty asked Mr. Ball if this was a cost saving measure.
Mr. Ball stated that it was a cost saving measure. Why do we need two?
Mr. Doherty stated that it doesn't other than it is nice for all of us to get together
so we are all on the same page. But, if it is going to be a budgetary issue then the
BOH members should look at that way.
Mr. Ball felt that it was a budgetary issue. That is his main reason.
Mr. Santos asked why it was a budgetary issue.
Mr. Ball stated that she is getting four hours of compensatory time.
Mr. Harrington stated that it is not automatic pay for Ms. Warden or him self. They
are compensated for the time that they are here. Ms. Garron gets the automatic
four because she is non-administrative.
Mr. Ball stated that he doesn't feel that they need both.
Mr. Doherty stated that he didn't feel comfortable saying that she couldn't attend.
Mr. Ball asked how you could justify it.
Ms. Garron stated that if you eventually split the duties between the two health
agents there might be things that Ms. Warden is handling that Mr. Harrington is
not handling that she will have to address in the meeting.
