25
Mr. Harrington stated that he hasn't gotten to the point where he has given her
specific duties to do. There are going to projects or properties that she is going to
have work on that he is not going to be able to have full control over. At that point
she will have to come into the meeting. If there are properties and there isn't any
back up that he would need her for then she wouldn't have to come in.
Mr. Doherty stated that he has mixed feelings about the suggestion.
Mr. Santos stated that tonight would have been the best time for her to be here.
Mr. Doherty stated that even when they had Orin Evans working for the BOH. He
would usually come to most of them.
Mr. Ball stated that even since Mr. Evans time he has had a problem with this
issue.
Mr. Doherty stated that he should have spoken up sooner. He had a problem with
Mr. McQuaid and Mr. Evans being here at the same time. From a business
perspective he felt that it was a waste of money and cut some corners.
Mr. Santos stated that he really did not want to revisit the whole McQuaid/Evans
issue. If there is no reason for her to be here at all and no questions on anything.
He has no problem with that recommendation. However, on a day to day basis, you
come down to say we only need one health agent and there is a serious question on
an emergency repair that she went out and did. Mr. Harrington has no idea on it
and now it is postponed for two more weeks.
Mr. Ball stated that he agrees with Mr. Santos. But, he felt that he misunderstood
him. If he needs her here that's fine. But, she shouldn't have to automatically show
up every week.
Mr. Santos asked if Ms. Warden has been complaining about showing up for the
meetings.
Mr. Ball stated that Ms. Warden knows nothing about this and it was only his
recommendation. He continued by stating that Elias and Orin would be here. Orin
would sit here and do nothing. The only reason he hasn't brought it up sooner is
because he wanted everyone to get comfortable with running the meetings.
Mr. Doherty stated that with no sugar coating he wanted to through this out on the
table. His only concern is that Ms. Warden has been around longer than he has. It
makes him uncomfortable to all-of-a-sudden tell her, "Don't come anymore". He
continued by saying that as long as the message is delivered properly. From a
strictly dollars and cents point of view he couldn't disagree. If you are paying for
someone to come here and they contribute nothing then it is money poorly spent
he cant and won't argue that. For the last 13 or 14 years she has been at every
meeting.
