This is an existing site <br /> condition showing a septic tank -pit, septic tank - pit, all kinds of utilities and <br /> more septic tanks and more pits. <br /> Mr. Sanicki proceeded to produce a number of engineered plans that delineated <br /> each step of the septic plan for this particular location. The specific request was <br /> a 5' variance to the property line. A lengthy discussion ensued between Mr. <br /> Sanicki and the BOH members. The plans are on file. <br /> At the end of the discussion Mr. Doherty stated that everyone had <br /> acknowledged from the beginning that this was a tough lot. Mr. Doherty stated <br /> that he did a wonderful job on creating an appropriate septic system for this <br /> project. <br /> Mr. Ball asked what would happen if the electric failed for the pump out. Would <br /> it hold for 48 hours? <br /> Mr. Sanicki said that he wasn't too worried about it. Mr. Sanicki then went <br /> back to one of the engineered plans. The working level was 1010 gallons with <br /> additional storage levels of 4400-gallon capacity. The area out here is a 22- <br /> bedroom unit with a daily flow of 4400 gallons, which is about one day's <br /> capacity that he has reserved within the pump chamber. But, in essence these <br /> units are not totally utilized every day all year round. <br /> Mr. Ball then stated that he would feel comfortable by saying 48 hours. <br /> Mr. Sanicki replied that the do to the overall use of the place. He had no <br /> question about it. He could feel more comfortable about that amount of time. <br /> However, he wouldn't put it his opinion on the record. <br /> Mr. Harrington continued the conversation by stating that he, Mr. Sanicki and <br /> Ms. Warden did have a preliminarily meeting on this issue. He and Ms. Warden <br /> came up with a recommendation after this meeting. The recommendation is <br /> that somebody be present at the installation and construction of the septic. <br /> Mr. Doherty agreed with this recommendation and also suggested that the lines <br /> be pressure tested with just air. <br /> Mr. Harrington asked Mr. Doherty to clarify what lines he was referring to. <br /> Mr. Doherty replied that he was concerned with the discharge lines between the <br /> pump chamber. He asked if that was the pressure feed that Mr. Harrington was <br /> concerned about. <br /> Mr. Harrington clarified that he was more concerned with the tanks <br /> themselves. The tanks themselves are sizeable. The extra hands-on site isn't <br /> going to hurt. But, to have the engineer there for some proper instruction is <br /> definitely going to be handy on this particular project. Again, with the <br /> construction of the pressure distribution system, he doesn't think the <br />
