7
Mr. Harrington replied that that was also an option. They could set something
up with the owner that would be acceptable.
Mr. Ball asked if this should be continued.
Mr. Slavinsky replied that they still needed the variances regardless of the other
issue.
Mr. Ball asked Mr. Harrington if there were any other issues.
Mr. Harrington stated that there really is nowhere on the property other than
down by the deck to install the system. He wondered why it couldn't have gone
in another corner of the lot.
Mr. Slavinsky responded that to tell him the truth. If he wanted the plan
changed.
Mr. Harrington interrupted Mr. Slavinsky by stating that his hope and intent
was to get away from variances. However, the more he looked at it the more
there was going to be the same amount of variances. Consequently he decided to
just leave it as is.
Mr. Slavinsky continued by stating that they designed the plan on the worse
case scenario as to where the well could be. They sent a survey crew out there to
find the well. The survey crew knocked on the door and asked where the well
was on the property. The homeowners responded that they did not have a well.
They had town water. The plan that was created was done on the worse case
scenario.
Mr. Harrington continued that either way he was still going to need the same
type of variances either from the building or from the property line.
Mr. Santos asked what they were going to do with the water and gas lines.
Mr. Slavinsky replied that they are going to have to move them. He pointed out
that the plans note the need to relocate gas and water services.
Mr. Santos asked if it should be on the plan where the water is going to be
going. He asked if he could have a revised plan showing the location of the water
and gas.
Mr. Ball made a motion to grant the following variances: The proposed S.A.S.
will require a 5' variance off of the street property line. The proposed S.A.S. will
require a 5' off the cellar wall. The reserve S.A.S. will require a 9' variance from
the street property line and a 1' variance off the cellar wall. The septic tank will
require a 3' variance off the cellar wall. These were granted but included the
stipulation that the revised plans identify the placement of water and gas. Mr.
Santos seconded the motion. Motion passed.
