ti the Center. Ellis quoted a price of approximately$1250 for the seeding. The Fire Dept. requires 25 feet of clearance around the back of the building, which will impact how far back the lawn will go. The cost of the trees and shrubs together comes to $7342.75. Installation would cost$7,337.25 for a total of $14,680. Ellis Allen reported that tree donors would receive a tax deduction. Newly planted trees will require watering during the initial planting, and twice a week going forward. Volunteers will be needed for two hours twice a week to handle the necessary watering of the newly planted trees and shrubs. 4."Senior Dimension"will provide a list of suggested trees that are wanted for the Center. Ed stated he is hopeful that the cost of the trees, shrubs and installation would be covered by donations from the Friends and from Mashpee Commons. 5.Ellis Allen stated there would be an additional cost of$3000 for mulch around the islands. Ellis will provide the spraying, and Bortellotti is donating three large stones for the landscape plan. Ed estimated that the landscaping total would run around$20,000. This does not include the well or irrigation system, or field grass. Iry asked that Ed Adams provide a drawing for the architect, the contractor and the Clerk of the Works to provide access to those green spots that are islands. It will be necessary to go under walks to provide water to these areas. FUNDRAISING. - Fireplace and Case Work. The Friends are working on getting quotes. They have a quote for the fireplace, and think there is a donor for this item. The next meeting of the Senior Center Building Committee is scheduled for Monday, July 12, 2004, Mashpee Town Hall Conference Room 2, at 1:30 PM.
