Statewide Engineering, $230,879. This bill includes a$15,000 charge for installation of a grease
trap that is to be completed this week. If it is not done, the charge will be deducted from the next
bill from Statewide.
2. Repair to the Boys& Girls Club irrigation system, $85.00. The irrigation system was damaged in
two places during excavation to bring electric power into the Senior Center.
3. Briggs Engineering. There are two bills, one for$437.70 and the other for$52.60. The balance
of the testing is to be done by the Clerk of the Works, with a budget balance of $2000.
4. Clerk of the Works, $2,040.00, for 50 hours of work over the past two weeks. We are coming
close to using up most of Mr. Virgilio's budget, but most of his heavy expense work is completed.
We will have a new scheduled date for completion by next week.
SEPTIC SYSTEM OPTIONS
Decision on the septic system for the new senior center is not yet confirmed. Alternate temporary options
include(1) installation of a septic tank, using a pump to empty when full (2) run a pipe and hook up to the
Boys and Girls Club system. Eventually, the Police, Fire, Boys& Girls Club, and the Senior Center will
all be hooked up with Mashpee Commons. The Commons is waiting for confirmation of receipt of credits
from the Commission if they agree to have the Senior Center use their septic system. Until the issue
about the credits is confirmed, the Commons will not commit to the senior center hookup to their septic
sytem.
REPORTS
Clerk of the Works.
