TOWN OF MASHPEE SENIOR CENTER BUILDING COMMITTEE. REVIEW OF 3/01/04 MINUTES _ The minutes were corrected as followed: on page 2, under STUDY PROJECTS, Landscaping, change the spelling of the last name Capalati to Capelotti. The minutes were unanimously approved as corrected. GRANT ADMINISTRATOR REPORT. Susan Gray reported for the Grant Administrator that there is a new expenditure approval form. The new form is quite comprehensive. The first page itemizes Non-Construction Costs and Construction Costs, with sub-totals for each category. It also provides information about the budgeted amount, expended amount, and the balance, for each of these costs. The first page of the report also includes the Total Project Cost, total Available Budget, Sub-total Budget Deficit/Surplus minus the KeySpan grant of $7,855 giving a total budget deficittsurplus figure of minus$65,771. The second page gives a category description of outflows, with total outflow amount. Pages 3 and 4 further break down each outflow category, itemizing each expenditure by date and amount. Going forward, Joyce Mason will be preparing this approval form for the committee. Susan Gray reported that the first drawdown on the grant has come in for Statewide. She also stated that she is tracking the wage rates paid to the workers, to ensure that they are getting the guaranteed hourly wage rate. CLERK OF THE WORKS REPORT. Iry reported receipt of a bill from Clerk of the Works for$1,720. After review of the bill by the committee members, it was moved and seconded that the bill be approved for payment. The motion was unanimously passed. The Clerk of the Works has taken on a`not-to-exceed' budget. He is doing a lot of intensive structural work at the moment; including pouring the foundation. The next construction bill, which comes once a month, will be coming in on April 5"', 2004. Iry reported that the proposed site visit for the Building Committee would be delayed from the first week of April to a later date. A date will be set at the next Building Committee meeting. Design of the electric connection feed at the site is still in process. SITE MEETING—3/15/04. Iry reported that one workday was lost last week due to the snowstorm. The contractor is making every effort to move the project forward to meet or beat the scheduled mid- October completion date. Termite Control. The contractor is required to treat the soil around the outside of the building foundation for termite control. Because of the problems experienced in this area, with termites 1
