Ernie Virgilio reported that everything is going very well. The contractor is using a
lot of caution. The plumber has started laying pipe under slab lines. Water pressure testing under the
slab should take place by the end of the week. Electric lines will then go in under the slab. Final
perimeter drainage is being put in place. 95%of the outside storm drainage is completed and approved.
Joyce Mason reported that calls from abutters are coming in with concerns over the wide space gap.
After the building is finished, new plantings and trees will be going in to fill the space gap between the
new center and the abutters' homes.
Grant Manager. Iry inquired of Joyce Mason whether we would be receiving an updated schedule of
monthly expenditures from Sharon Travers Gay. Joyce stated that each month after the contractor is
paid, a report would be forthcoming from the Grant Manager. Iry asked whether the donation of$46,000
for the kitchen from the FMSC would be deducted from the negative$75,000 budget number. Joyce will
talk to Sharon to determine how it will be handled.
Site Meeting. Iry reported that as of this morning's site meeting, the issue of the locale of permanent
power on the site is still outstanding. However, it should not hold up progress on work at the site.
1
