Atlantic Bio Fuels
104A Falmouth Road
Proposed to occupy three bays with tanks and processor in the manufacture of WVO bio-diesel
Dudley Thomas
Dudley Thomas addressed the Committee saying that everything he had previously proposed to
the Committee was the same except location. He said Mr. Bornstein approached him with the
104A Falmouth Road property, but he can go either place. Mr. Thomas said at the 104A property
they would have sprinklers, among other advantages he mentioned. Following points were
discussed:
• Fire sprinkler detriment because of the sodium peroxide stored. Mr. Thomas said he has
an Australian outfit that will make a sealed storage box for the sodium peroxide.
• 104 Building not.approved for this use, so building owner would have to go back for a
permit.
• Paper storage is going to be above these units.
• Easier to work around smaller building, than larger building.
• Use...storage controlled by building owner. There is no hazardous materials clause. Not
as simple as change of use for the bay when Cape Cod Commission et al. have placed a
number of restrictions on it.
Mr. Thomas thanked the Committee for the input. This was why he came and he said he will
continue with Nicoletta'a Way as he originally proposed.
Pina Sanitation
53 Bowdoin road
Proposes to run a Sanitation Company and Charter Bus Company from the site. The use would
be to mainly store the equipment in the existing building and on the land.
David Pina
David Pina said they Iwill be moving their operations from Osterville to this 6400 square foot site.
He said they have 9 vehicles and will do repair of their own vehicles only. They will try to lease
out some of the back building to a towing business. He said oil/fire/heating was inspected by
Mark Murphy and David Pina will provide a copy of the report to the Fire Department. Glen
noted that there was an oil tank at that site that was to be removed in '05.
Conclusion: Mr.Pina advised to make sure everything meets code. Mr.Pina to go to
Zoning Board for a special permit and will need an updated site plan to give to ZBA. Mr.
Pina to contact Fire Department to make sure all is in order.
Approval of Minutes...The Minutes of November 8, 2007 were approved.
Me ting adjourned at 10:40 a.m.
Gili ertb i
ecording Secretary
