Licensing - Kids Klub has received the new license for the expanded program which opened March 2'. Licensing has expanded to 53 children. We are just about filled. Applications will be provided to all our campers for the summer food program. Qualifications allow everyone to use the food program. ACCCESS Program - Program Grant for $350,000.00. This program provides basic educational classes. One site is at Mashpee High School. Transportation and child care are provided. Gus Frederick discussed another memo regarding Adult Literacy. The next meeting will be March 13 at the Town Hall. IV. Old Business - Board of Health regulations for camp - The latest is to have camp staffcori'd even for under 17. Our handbook from Office for Children has been updated, and we need to adapt them to our summer camp. This affects all camps, not just Kids Klub. Gus has already met with principals regarding building usage for the summer. Flyer regarding camps was sent out. Gus Frederick showed a rough draft of the summer camp flyer and registrations. We are requesting a $25.00 deposit per session and if this is done by March 14, last year's rates will apply. This is the earliest we have been able to get this out. Kids Klub and Adventure Camp will be in the cafeteria for the last week. New Advisory Member - Mr. McCuish is still interested in Leisure Services Advisory Council. Focus Groups - Shiela Arnold went over Focus Group and passed out results. Budget - Gus Frederick mentioned that a small part of the budget was reduced by $12,600, as Selectmen are combining phone expenses to the Selectmen's budget. Request for part time individual has been approved. In regard to capital budget, we have included $29,000.00 for a van. Expenses for a van would have to be added to program costs. Spring Programming - We are in the process of putting spring programs together. We have advertised for instructors. We are looking to run a spring. session about the middle of April. Gus Frederick had an individual in this afternoon who has extensive training in computers. He would like her to put together some more programs. Pat Antonellis asked about college credit courses being offered during the summer. Gus mentioned that he is planning to do something in the fall. Stonehill may be doing Bachelor classes in the fall. Daffodil Days - May 2nd and 3`d - We are working with Beautification Committee. Running it similar to the Oktoberfest. There will be amusement rides. Trying to get Maushop to do pony rides.
