no definitive proof or answer at this point.
Tom asked if the current varies seasonally on the power line?
Mr. Collings said depending on the load on the line , it goes up and down ,
there is a range of about . 5 miligaus .
Tom asked why the level at this line is so much lower than the 200 miligaus
average of NY and FLA?
Mr. Collings doesn ' t know why New york and FL are so high . He rarely sees
numbers over 10 coming from a line.
Tom said the right of way is 200 feet but only cleared to 100 feet. Are
there any plans for additional lines there?
Mr . Collings said they only project in 20 year cycles. The current practice
is to go up instead of out.
Bill Martiros asked if burying the line would reduce the reading?
Mr. Collings said the lines will now be closer therefore increasing the
reading but being bundled will decrease the field . Bill asked if Com
Electric would bear the cost to bury the lines?
Mr. Collings said no way , the cost is astronomical .
******
Bob Whritenour said he has talked with the Executive Director of the
Housing Authority to set up a meeting . He needs to know who from this
Committee will be there?
Peter Dinizio and Tom Fudala will both like to attend .
Peter said the Committee needs to develop a time schedule for ownership of
the land . The project wants to start construction in January 1995 . Ian and
the architects and Bob Whritenour will work on that.
Dan Saliene said they will need permission soon for their consultants to
enter the site . Have we received permission?
Bob Whritenour said they have permission from 2 of the 4 land owners . He
explained he did investigate this issue with town counsel during the site
selection process . Town Counsel said there is a significant liability
issue for entering the property without specific permission . We should
have written permission from every property owner . He has asked the
property owners to provide us with written permission . He will follow up
with the 2 owners who have not yet responded .
PROJECT MANAGER REPORT
Contracts- 1 small change on SMMA contract re : reimbursables is under
discussion . Bob Fournier spoke with town counsel today who is developing
some wording . Bob explained town counsel wants SMMA to review the
contractors work orders for prevailing wage compliance. They are working
on the wording and the cost. It would be an addition to the base contract.
Chartwell ' s contract will be signed this week .
Program- Paul Griffin is looking for net to gross ratios . On the 21st they
will provide an updated program.
Site Development- survey will be completed this week .
Peter spoke with TK Thompson who would like to be on next week ' s agenda.
They are content to have an entrance off of Old Barnstable road , the issue
is north or south of the housing authority .
Mr . Thompson told Peter they are going to ask us to move the whole assembly
by 100 feet.
Schedule- there have been some changes . Design and constructabilty review
2
