The bus drop off should probably shift 65 feet towards 151 to accommodate
any future expansion .
The Committee agreed the spaces at the old Barnstable Rd , 151 corner are to
close to the road .
He has added parking to the back , near the baseball fields .
Merry Sue suggested this could be used for kitchen and the phys ed , art,
and music staff parking during the day .
The Committee does not want too many spaces in the back - no double
loading .
Peter said the practice field to the west of the tennis courts has
disappeared , why?
Dan said the performing arts center was told that field was flexible . He
did not leave if off of the plan intentionally .
Does the Committee want to move the whole layout 100 feet north and east?
Tom recommends it not be moved . The environmental agencies at today ' s
meeting have no problem with the setback from the river as shown now.
The Committee agreed they do not want to move the plan in either direction
(north or east) .
Dan said if you eliminate the eastern area for future ball fields ( because
of environmental concerns ) , then we must look for an additional softball
and baseball field . He suggested the baseball fields would fit to the
south of the fields and the softball field to the north . This would also
create an additional field area ( soccer, field hockey , etc . ) .
Ian suggested the performing arts center entrance road takes away a big
piece of land .
Dan said the PAC plan is pre-schematic. A lot is negotiable . The road
could be re-aligned and that makes area available to the school for a
field .
Paul suggested the additional practice field would be better to the west of
the football field than to the south because going south goes very deep
into the site , access would be more difficult, it is further removed from
everything .
Dan will develop 2 site alternatives for the next meeting .
ADJOURNMENT
** Paul made a motion to adjourn at 7 : 45 p.m. Merry Sue seconded the
motion . All members were in favor. **
NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING: TUESDAY, JUNE 21 , 1994 4: 00 P .M.
Minutes submitted by Arden R. Cadrin
9
