Ed said he would rather this Committee <br /> take this one and allow the skylights in the other corridor. There will <br /> still be natural light here, becomes a question of quantity. <br /> Committee agreed to take it. <br /> 2 . Paul thinks the Committee should take it. <br /> Ed said he would like to investigate a block building in total . Because of <br /> the magnitude of the problem. He will try to provide places the Committee <br /> can go to look at a block building. <br /> Paul said he recently saw a grey block building and it looked good . <br /> Ed said block has the potential for texture and color choices, patterns to <br /> break up the scale. <br /> They cannot take the $99 ,000 and $370,000 savings. There would be about <br /> $300,000 savings associated with a block building . <br /> Paul suggested the Committee take #2 and then look at the rest of the <br /> building . <br /> Ed would rather the Committee allow SMMA to prove they can make a good <br /> looking building with all block. <br /> Peter thinks the Committee should go with the Architects recommendation, it <br /> could save $300,000. <br /> Bill said if after going out to bid , this come in low, what can we add <br /> things back? <br /> Paul said there is a big list of alternates. <br /> ** Bill made a motion that the first alternate (to be added back) is <br /> 9 <br />
