Bob feels Mark Pare could and is willing to do what the Committee is looking for but it would be an upward battle. Janice asked what happens to the work he has already done? Weston and Sampson does all the review for the town, is there a conflict? Steve said they could ask the town to forgo review in this case. His experience with Weston and Sampson has been good, they have a good pulse on the town. Paul said there may be one other options. Fields Point said they may have a little spare capacity in their plant and the school could pump it to them. Steve said the town would then have to take over that plant. He does not believe they have reserve capacity, maybe 10% which is what is required. His preliminary estimates of pumping to the Southport plant were $350, 000 , Fields Point plant is a longer run. Tom Wren prepared some estimates - approximately 3,000 feet, cost of up to $50 per foot = $150,000, pumping station $100,000, if a crossing is need on the river he estimated an extra $100 , 000. This does not include any operating costs , legal fees, land costs or permits. Bill does not think the school should hook up with anyone else. Paul said $350,00 is still about one-half the cost.
