They have excepted the
hardship exemption and were notifying local agencies .
Value Added List . SAMA has underlined all items the Committee has
accepted, italicized items where were not accepted and the remaining items
required further information or discussion.
Dan Solien made a presentation on site alternatives . He presented the
current plan with an overlay highlighting the alternative list .
One additional softball field will be located north of the original field.
One additional baseball field to be located south of the other.
Additional soccer field located in outfield of baseball field .
Practice football field to be located south of the other fields .
Additional Basketball court located to the east of the original one .
3 additional tennis courts to the south of the original
Addition of coin operated lighting at the tennis/basketball courts .
Addition of lighting at the stadium.
Virtually all of the site accessories were eliminated: bike racks , benches .
They will return those , at the entrances and bike racks near the
recreational area.
Dan proposed a concrete sidewalk from the terrace outside the lockers to
the track complex.
Paul thinks that players with cleats will not walk on the sidewalk, will it
be used? Maybe a path of crusher run would be better , they can use it and
then won' t damage the grass along the side of the sidewalk.
Dan said crusher run will be more difficult to maintain.
He said he has a professional responsibility to provide a path off of the
street .
Dan suggested additional plantings , along the median entry, an understory
on the parking islands , an extra row of trees past the tennis courts , trees
outside of the art/music rooms, which will act as an additional sound
buffer from 151 , flowering shrubs in the courtyard.
Dan is very happy with the amount of trees preserved in the courtyard area.
He would like to add an understory of rhododendrons and azaleas .
Joel said the MEPA/DRI process is complete but added construction items
would have an impact , a modified site plan would have an impact on that
process . SMMA will have to meet with them again to modify the permit .
Paul said the figure for the synthetic tract seems to be high .
Dan said he can get a very accurate figure form Falmouth High who just put
in a synthetic on bituminous .
BUILDING
- wood panels at auditorium.
