want specialized testing .
Paul said problems could even develop after the plant starts
running . He made it clear to David Patrick this could be Stone ' s
biggest downfall .
- There was a problem with the front entranceway ( front curtain
wall ) , it was made 4" too short because they made it before
having field measurements. Joel and Alan Scott resolved it .
- Fields , some fertilizing was going on Friday and more on
Saturday. They have not started watering yet.
Joe asked what the major issue is for closing the building?
Paul said there is no major issue, there are a few small ones ,
aluminum curtain walls at the library. All exterior doors are
here but not all are on. It is scheduled for June 4th.
Paul explained there is a problem with the cedar siding on the
gym. The stain speced is now obsolete, the new one is now
clearer. However, some of the boards were primed already, on the
outside instead of backed primed. Stone has contracted with
someone to bring it back to natural and will then stain it to see
how it looks. Ed Frenette has said the prognosis is not good.
Paul reviewed the Group 3 furniture and equipment specs from
Manny Tavares and has some comments . There are a few items he
thinks the quantity is wrong . For some software , it also asks
that the computers be supplied. He has a problem with computers
being supplied from 2 different places , they should all be from 1
vendor. He suggested buying 2 teachers manuals for the software .
Grounds and maintenance equipment is speced for diesel , all other
vehicles in town are gas and it will be difficult to get someone
to fix diesel . He thinks there should be more 6 foot ladders and
more dollies.
Paul suggested the Committee direct CCR, where we bought
training , to require re-training in 12 months and ask the vendor
to make a site visit in 90-120 days to critique its use . This
will make sure they are using the technology to its fullest .
- Home Ec room: Manny Tavares did a sketch to try to get 5
cooking stations in that room. John Williams questioned whether
there is the money to make those changes, there are other items
that he would also like to spend the money on - like a fence
around the track.
He described the fence he would like around the track. Joel
thinks only 1 , 4 foot fence is presently speced in the bid. It
needs to be higher to keep people out . A second fence around the
perimeter of the track acts as crowd control during a game .
Joel thinks the trees are too close to the tract, there may be
room for only 1 fence . He will work with John Williams on it .
2
