n
** Paul made a motion to forward to the Selectmen for their
approval and payment Stone ' s payment requisition for
$1 , 557 , 615 . Merry Sue seconded the motion.
Discussion: Tom has the prevailing wage info, the waiver of
liens . There is nothing legally to prevent release, just contract
issues.
Merry Sue asked how long he should hold it?
Until he receives the updated CPM.
Steve said he is a little gun shy. Getting the schedule and is it
real are 2 different things .
Paul said D. Patrick seems willing to cooperate , he doesn't want
to hold $1 . 5 million for the schedule. He will call David Patrick
and tell him they have 1 week to deliver the schedule to get the
$1 . 5 million.
Steve would rather wait to vote on it . We have had a lot of
commitments not made to us from Stone . He doesn' t want to punish
the subs but he doesn't want to deviate from the procedure . He
would rather go out of his way to have another meeting .
Paul said the problem is the Selectmen are meeting on June 3rd
and not again until the 17th.
** All members in favor of the motion 5-0**
CHANGE ORDERS
Change order # 17 for $5 , 021 . 00 for:
- change to wood shop dust collectors
- relocate windows
- credit for extended warranty on roofing issue
- removal of steel tube header
- change in lavatory from type B to type A.
Joel explained:
1 . wood shop dust collector was funnel shaped but the bottom was
too high for the space , so they change it to a flat bottom but it
is more expensive .
2 . Relocate windows , near art room, 3 window in the corner that
didn' t work with the 8x8 block module .
3 . warranty for roof, credit .
4 . steel tube header at the curtain wall between the library and
7/8th grade entrance , was in the way of the curtain wall so they
removed it, after determining it was not necessary.
5 . Sink in staff lavatory should be type A but drawings said type
B.
** Paul made a motion to approve change order #17 for
$5 , 021 . 00 for the above listed items . Merry Sue seconded
the motion. All members were in favor 5-0**
CONTINGENCY PLAN
Paul explained this issue was discussed in detail at the Friday
morning meeting. It is Paul ' s belief, without question, that A, B
& E will be completed on time. The stairway in C has to be
included in that . It is Alan Scott' s belief that Stone will
deliver the entire school on time , with the possible except of
4
