May 15, 1995 <br /> M <br /> Re: Mashpee High School <br /> SMMA No. 94023 <br /> Dear M <br /> Your firm is requested to provide Symmes Maini and McKee Associates, Inc. a proposal for <br /> Consulting Services for the design, integration, and implementation of instructional and <br /> administrative technology for the new Mashpee High School, as defined by the Technology Program <br /> Statement, Final Report, prepared by Childs Consulting Associates, Inc, dated March 15, 1995 and <br /> attached herein. <br /> The proposal shall provide for the planning, development, implementation and integration of all <br /> teEhnology, such as but not limited to networks, workstations, video systems, and voice systems. <br /> Additionally,the proposal shall include all component commodities necessary to these systems, such <br /> as but not limited to wire,wire installation, fiber optic cable, equipment, and software. The <br /> Consultant will be responsible for the RFP development, evaluation, guidance on contract language, <br /> observation of all selected installing vendors, and final testing. The Consultant will certify that the <br /> vendor supplied components will all work together properly and integrate successfully. The <br /> Consultant's technicians will perform all final acceptance testing. <br /> The Consultant will perform all services listed below for a fixed fee. A specific time table will be <br /> specified in the final agreement, however it is anticipated that the design work to begin during the <br /> Summer of 1995 and final testing to be completed coincident with the Building Construction <br /> completion in the Fall of 1996. <br /> PHASE 1: Planning <br /> 1. Review and assess the Technology Program to determine scope and direction. <br /> 2. Prepare a survey form to gather data regarding any updating of the Technology Program, <br /> existing technology to be moved to the new high school, and new technology required. <br /> 3. Perform complete site survey to determine all existing systems. Condition of support systems, <br /> installation requirements, etc. <br /> 4. Administer and analyze results of the survey form. <br /> 5. Review technology requirements to determine specific technology needs by conducting face-to- <br /> face discussions with the administrative and instructional staff. <br />
