Summary List of Items Necessary to Substantial Completion or Beneficial Occupation of the Academic Block 1. The entire sealing of the building and closing off of the Academic Block from the remainder as outlined to Stone by SMMA and the Building Inspectorate on 30th May 1996, including internal caulking and completion of window cills. 2. Completion of all roof, flashing and gutter items. 3. Completion and start-up of the mechanical systems in accordance with procedure to maintain the building in an environment suited to the needs of the finishings trades; energisation of power throughout the building. 4. Replacement of damaged or damp drywall. 5. Residual action in providing satisfactory hangers for mechanical services. 6. Remainder of casework, particularly to the laboratories. 7. Internal glazing and door hardware. 8. Chalkboards and noticeboards. 9. Final coat of paint to all areas including CMU in entrance lobbies. 10. Ceilings. 11 . Carpets in classrooms; tiles in corridors. 12. Skirtings. 13. Electrical final fix including activation of clocks and sundry devices. 14. Installation of lockers in corridors. 15. Testing and commissioning of all life safety and annunciation systems. 16. Signage. 17. Bathrooms completion including epoxy floors, partitions and fittings. 18. Testing and commissioning of plumbing, drainage and sewage lines. 19. Testing and commissioning of the sewage treatment plant. 20. General cleaning of entire area to be handed-over. 21. Telephone system installation and commissioning (not Stone work). Information supplemental to the above will be provided verbally during today's Building Committee meeting.
