4 <br /> individual must be fifteen( 15 ) years of age or older <br /> and be domiciled or a full-time resident of the Town <br /> of Mashpee. Proof of residency will be required to <br /> obtain a permit. A current State of Massachusetts <br /> Bed Certificate ( commercial shellfish permit ) must <br /> be obtained prior to obtaining a Mashpee Commercial <br /> permit. <br /> Special Oyster Permits - Issued to individuals for <br /> the express purpose of harvesting oysters under a <br /> special program and regulations . These permits are i <br /> subject to the residency qualifications outlined <br /> previously for regular Family Permits . It will not <br /> be. necessary to obtain any other shellfish permit <br /> in order to obtain a Special Oyster Permit . Oysters 'I <br /> obtained under this permit are for the personal use <br /> of the permitholder and his/her family and may not <br /> be sold or traded for other considerations . <br /> Article 3 . General Regulations <br /> 1 . No shellfishing activity or landing of shell- <br /> fish may occur during the hours after sunset c <br /> and before sunrise on the following day. <br /> 2 . Any person( s ) engaged in shellfishing or having <br /> shellfish in their possession must have in their -- t <br /> possession a valid Mashpee Shellfish Permit and <br /> a two ( 2 ) inch measuring ring. <br /> 3 . Shellfish permits must be visibly displayed by <br /> person( s ) engaged in shellfishing or having <br /> shellfish in their possession <br /> 4 . Any person( s ) engaged in shellf-ishing or possessing <br /> shellfish must present a valid Mashpee Shellfish <br /> Permit and a two ( 2 ) inch measuring ring to any <br /> Mashpee Shellfish Constable, Deputy Constable or <br /> Police Officer on demand . '' <br /> 5 . Any persons engaged in Shellfishing or possessing ' <br /> shellfish must display their catch for inspection ' 1 <br /> to any Mashpee Shellfish Constable, Deputy Constable <br /> or Police Officer on demand . <br /> 6 . Shellfishing is prohibited in any area designated <br /> as an "Area Closed to Shellfishing" by the Mashpee !r <br /> Board of Selectmen. <br /> 7 . Shellfishing is prohibited in any area designated asj�l <br /> a "Private Shellfish Grant Area" by the Board of <br /> Selectmen except for the grantholder, and his <br /> employees or permittees notwithstanding any regula- <br /> tions or stipulations to the contrary as designated <br />
