Article <br /> The Moderator read' Art icle 33 ' <br /> � I <br /> Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to amend Section 4. 10 . 6 <br /> of the Town By-Laws by deleting therefrom sub-section e. and substituting <br /> therefor ;the following; <br /> "e. Upon receipt of the written approval of those property owners <br /> bearing 50% or more of the estimated cost, the Selectmen shall proceed <br /> to layout the way and upon completion of the layout shall cause an <br /> appropriate Article to be inserted in the next Annual Town Meeting <br /> for action. -_Upon approval of. the Article by the voters at the Town <br /> Meeting, the proposed work to construct, reconstruct, or: repair the <br /> private way, shall be `put out to public bid and within six months <br /> following the completion of the work, the total cost shall be apportion- <br /> ed by the Selectmen, with the assistance of the Town Engineer and the <br /> Board of Assessors, to the owners of the land abutting the way and to <br /> any other owners of land deemed to be benefited, and betterments shall <br /> be assessed to them in accordance with the provisions of the General <br /> Laws of the Commonwealth for assessing betterments.
