Article 3 .
<br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen
<br /> to acquire by purchase or eminent domain for conservation purposes
<br /> all , or a major portion, of a parcel of land of 46 , 7 acres, more
<br /> or less, identified on the 1987 Mashpee Assessor ' s Maps as Map 40,
<br /> Plot 2, generally located between Ashumet Pond and Falmouth
<br /> Sandwich Road, the said land to be held in the care and custody of
<br /> the Conservation Commission pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws
<br /> Chapter 40, Section 8C; further, to see if the Town will vote to
<br /> appropriate $950, 000 for such purpose, including expenses
<br /> incidental and related thereto, and to raise such appropriation.
<br /> the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be authorized
<br /> to borrow $950, 000 under and pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 7 ( 3 )
<br /> and, if applicable, Chapter 40, Section SC, of the General Laws,
<br /> or any other enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of
<br /> the Town therefor, with said bonding authorization contingent upon
<br /> passage of a referendum to exclude the principal and interest on
<br /> such debt from the tax levy limitation imposed by Chapter 59,
<br /> Section 21C of the General Laws ( so-called Proposition 2 1/2 ); and
<br /> further, to see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or
<br /> _ transfer from available funds $80;e750 or any other sum to the
<br /> Purchase of Land, Map 40, Plot 2, )Account to provide for interest
<br /> and debt issuance expenses; further, to see if the Town will
<br /> authorize the Board of Selectmen and/or Conservation Commission to
<br /> apply for and accept Federal and/or State grants , including
<br /> reimbursement under Chapter 132A, Section 11 of the General Laws ,
<br /> to be applied by the Town toward the financing of this purchase,
<br /> and to enter into contracts and agreements with Federal and/or
<br /> State agencies , private conservation trusts , or other entities or
<br /> ` persons in connection with the purchase of such land and
<br /> preservation for conservation purposes of the specified portion
<br /> ` of such land; and finally, to see if the Town will authorize the
<br /> Conservation Commission and the Board of Selectmen to enter into
<br /> agreements and execute any and all instruments as may be necessary
<br /> on behalf of the Town to effectuate said purchase;

<br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen
<br /> < to acquire by purchase or eminent domain for conservation,
<br /> roadway, school and/or other public purposes all , or a major
<br /> portion, of a parcel of land of 30 acres , more or less, identified
<br /> on the 1987 Mashpee Assessors ' Maps as Map 36 , Plot 35, generally
<br /> _ located on GoodSDeed ' S Meering House Road south of Main Street
<br /> ( Route 130 ) , the portion of said land lying east of a line 30 feet
<br /> east of the center line of Goodspeed ' s Meeting House Road,
<br /> excluding any land lying within 30 feet on either side of the
<br />
