<br /> and custody of the Conservation Commission pursuant to
<br /> Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 8C, with the
<br /> remainder to be held by the Board of Selectmen for roadway, school
<br /> and/or other public purposes; further, to see if the Town will
<br /> vote to appropriate a sum of money for such purpose, including
<br /> expenses incidental and related thereto, and to raise such
<br /> appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen,
<br /> be authorized to borrow a sum of money under and pursuant to
<br /> Chapter 44, Section 7 ( 3 ) and, if applicable, Chapter 40, Section
<br /> 8C, of the General Laws , or any other enabling authority, and to
<br /> issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor, with said bonding
<br /> authorization contingent upon passage of a referendum to exclude
<br /> the principal and interest on such debt from the tax levy
<br /> limitation imposed by Chapter 59, Section 21C of the General Laws
<br /> ( so-called Proposition 2 1/2 ); and further, to see if the Town
<br /> will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to the
<br /> Goodspeed ' s Meeting House Road Land Purchase Account to provide
<br /> for interest and debt issuance expenses; further, to see if the
<br /> Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen and/or Conservation
<br /> Commission to apply for and accept Federal and/or State grants ,
<br /> including reimbursement under Chapter 132A, Section 11 of the
<br /> General Laws, to be applied by the Town toward the financing of
<br /> this purchase, and to enter into 'ontracts and agreements with
<br /> Federal and/or State agencies , private conservation trusts, or
<br /> other entities or persons in connection with the purchase of such
<br /> land and preservation for conservation purposes of the specified
<br /> portion of such land; and finally, to see if the Town will
<br /> authorize the Conservation Commission and the Board of Selectmen
<br /> to enter into agreements and execute any and all instruments as
<br /> may be necessary on behalf of the Town to effectuate said
<br /> purchase;

<br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen
<br /> to acquire by purchase or eminent domain for conservation purposes
<br /> all , or major portion, of a parcel of land of 4 . 4 acres; more or
<br /> less, identified on the 1987 Mashpee Assessors ' Maps as Map 36,
<br /> Plot 34, generally located on Meetinghouse -Road , the said land to
<br /> be held in the care and custody of the Conservation Commission
<br /> pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 8C;
<br /> further, to see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of
<br /> money for such purpose, including expenses incidental and related
<br /> thereto, and to raise such appropriation, the Treasurer, with the
