The Committee would be formed immediately upon acceptance. i Submitted by Petition Motion: To see if the Town will vote to approve the formation of a Lake Management Committee for Mashpee Wakeby Pond. The Committee would be made up of two lake residents, one member of the Land Trust Reservations (one alternate) and instead of the Harbormaster and member of the Waterways Commission and one elected Town Official. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $250,000 to be used to defray the costs of connection to public water for the residents of Sampsons Mill Road and Cranberry Ridge Road, whose drinking water has been contaminated or threatened with contamination through no fault of their own. And further that the Town be authorized to retain counsel to obtain reimbursement of these costs from the party or parties responsible for the contamination.
