Motion made by David Leveille. Motion: I move the Town vote to raise and appropriate $21,836 and appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation$20,345 to fund a contract between the Town and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 2519, for the period beginning July 1, 1998. Motion passes unanimously at 8:47pm. Article 6 To see if the Town will vote to grant a 3 percent cost of living adjustment to the Personnel Administration Plan (P.A.P.) Appendix B and Appendix C employees and the Treasurer/Tax Collector and Town Clerk and Plumbing and Wiring Inspectors and fund Special Service Contracts effective July 1, 1998, and for said purpose the Town vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $27,500 with said funds to be distributed to various salary line accounts by the Town Accountant, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Personnel Department Explanation: If passed, this article will grant a 3% cost of living adjustment for Fiscal Year 1999 to employees whose positions are classified under the Town's Personnel Administration Plan, two elected officials (Treasurer and Town Clerk), and fund Special Service Contracts. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. Motion made by Ken Marsters.
