Article 8 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available <br /> funds $25,000 to the Board of Health Solid Waste Account, or take any other <br /> action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Health <br /> Explanation: As of July 1, 1998 the Town was required to stop landfilling bulky <br /> items such as mattresses, old furniture (items which could not be sent to <br /> SEMASS). Our only option at this time is to store these items in roll-off <br /> containers and then when full, transport the containers to the Bourne commercial <br /> landfill. This article seeks to cover the cost associated with bulky solid waste. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Wayne Taylor. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue <br /> Available for Appropriation $25,000 to the Board of Health Solid Waste Account. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:51pm. <br /> Article 9 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available <br /> funds $1,075 to the Planning Department Salary and Wage Account, or take any <br /> other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Planning Department <br /> Explanation: This article corrects a discrepancy in the rate of pay for the <br /> Assistant Planner, to Step II of the Unit A, Administrators' Unit Contract wage <br /> compensation plan, and provides for compensation at Step III upon his June 3, <br /> 1999 employment anniversary date. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Nancy Caffyn. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue <br /> Available for Appropriation $1,075 to the Planning Department Salary and Wage <br /> Account. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:52pm. <br />
