<br /> Selectmen to enter into contracts or agreements with Federal, State and/or County
<br /> agencies, private conservation trusts or other entities or persons in connection with the
<br /> purchase of such land, including enfrircement of restrictions on the land; and finally, to
<br /> see if the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen to enter into agreements and
<br /> execute any and all instruments as may be necessary on behalf of the Town to
<br /> effectuate said acquisition; or take any other action relating thereto.

<br /> Explanation: This article would authorize the Board of Selectmen to purchase, using
<br /> Land Bank funds, a small wetland lot surrounded by the previously-purchased "Belcher"
<br /> property off Lowell Road. The lot also has the benefit of a right-of-way over the Town's
<br /> land from Lowell Road. This purchase would consolidate the Town's ownership in the
<br /> area and avoid any potential legal or development issues related to the lot and right-of-
<br /> way.
<br /> Article 12.
<br /> To see if the Town will vote to transfer the care, custody, maintenance and control of
<br /> the parcel of land described below from the Tax Collector for purposes of sale under
<br /> G.L. c.60 to the Board of Selectmen for purposes of sale and to authorize the Board of
<br /> Selectmen to sell the following described parcel of land on such terms and conditions as
<br /> they may determine:
<br /> the property shown on Assessors Map 77 as Blocks 3, 5, 7, 10, 21, 23, 25, 27
<br /> and 28 being the parcels acquired by the by virtue of Tax Takings dated
<br /> 12/10/1943, 12/30/1956, 4/21/1993, 12/30/1949 and recorded with Barnstable
<br /> County Registry of Deeds in Book 609, Page 119, Book 949, Page 134, Book
<br /> 8534, Page 186, Book 738, Book 225,
<br /> and further to see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire,
<br /> by eminent domain or otherwise as the Board of Selectmen shall determine to be
<br /> appropriate, the property shown on Assessors' Map 77 as Blocks 3, 5, 7, 10, 21, 23, 25,
<br /> 27 and 28 being the parcels acquired by the Town by virtue of Tax Takings 12/10/1943,
<br /> 12/30/1956, 4/21/1993, 12/30/1949 and recorded with Barnstable County Registry of
<br /> Deeds in Book 609, Page 119, Book 949, Page 134, Book 8534, Page 186, Book 738,
<br /> Book 225 for purposes of curing title and for general municipal purposes and further to
<br /> see if the Town will vote to raise, appropriate, transfer from available funds or borrow a
<br /> sum of money for this purpose,
<br /> or take any other action relating thereto.
