Recommendation: Finance Committee recommends approval. Article 15 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $14,791 to the Police Expense Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Police Chief Explanation: This additional appropriation will fund various training required for police personnel. Recommendation: Finance Committee does not recommend approval. Article 16 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $8,000 to the Personnel Consultant Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Personnel Department Explanation: This would allow the Town to contract with a professional consultant to conduct a salary compensation study. Recommendation: Finance Committee does not recommend approval. Article 17 To see if the Town will vote to grant an adjustment to the Personnel Administration Plan (P.A.P.) by adding five additional steps to the salary schedule and to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $8,066 with said funds to be distributed by the Town Accountant, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Personnel Department Explanation: This article is placed on the warrant to provide additional steps for non- union employees which will bring internal equity to the positions which are classified under the Personnel Administration Plan. Funds are needed to cover additional costs associated with adding these steps to the salary schedule. Recommendation: Finance Committee to make recommendation at Town Meeting. Article 18 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds $460,000 to provide for road improvement projects under Chapter 90 related funds, or take any other action relating thereto.
