BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MINUTES <br />June 14, 1989 <br />At 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 1989 the Board of Appeals held a <br />meeting at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present and acting <br />throughout were Cheryl Hawver, William Hanrahan; Edward Govoni and <br />Richard Halpern. Michael Makunas arrived at 8:45 p.m. Douglas Boyd, <br />Building Inspector, was in attendance. <br />Eliot Levy - (Owner of record: Robert W. Levy TR) - Requests a <br />Variance under Section 7.4 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary <br />the front line set back in an R-3 Zoning District on property located at <br />120 Summersea Road (Map 105, Block 52) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: William Hanrahan, Cheryl Hawver, Edward Govoni <br />There was no representation for the hearing. Mr. Hanrahan moved to <br />continue to June 28, 1989. Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />Paul R. Botello - (Owner of record: Mary R. Brown) - Requests a <br />Special Permit under Section 5.1 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to <br />change or extend a non -conforming structure in an R-5 Zoning District on <br />property located at 278 Monomoscoy Road (Map 120, Block 61) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: William Hanrahan, Cheryl Hawver, Edward Govoni <br />Mr. Halpern stepped down from the Board for this hearing since he <br />was an abutter. <br />Mr. Botello represented the Petition. He explained that he proposed <br />to add a garage and a deck. Mr. Hanrahan questioned the lot coverage and <br />it was determined that it would be 202. C. Sylvester, an abutter, had <br />no objections. Douglas Boyd stated that the setbacks were consistent <br />with the neighborhood. A report was read from Robert Sherman, <br />Conservation Agent, stating that the Applicant would have to file <br />a Notice of Intent with the Conservation Commission. <br />Ms. Hawver moved to grant the Special Permit for the proposed garage <br />and deck and allow a 2' variance in the side set back on the north east <br />side from the closest approach to the garage. Mr. Govoni seconded. <br />All agreed. <br />Elaine J. Avis - Requests a Special Permit under Section 6.3.A.8 of <br />the Land Use Regulations for permission to construct an in-law <br />apartment in an R-3 Zoning District on property located at 42 Clover Lane <br />(Map 117, Block 309) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: William Hanrahan, Cheryl Hawver, Richard Halpern <br />. Mr. Hanrahan stated that the Board had received a request to withdraw <br />without prejudice. Mr. Hanrahan moved to accept the request for withdrawal. <br />Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />
