BOARD OF APPEALS Minutes - June 14, 1989 Page 3. <br />Mr. Hanrahan moved to grant the Special Permit as requested. Ms. <br />01 Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />Mr. Hanrahan announced a 10 -minute recess at 8:10 P.M. <br />Mashpee Commons <br />Mr. Hanrahan read the memo from the Fire Department confirming that <br />the fire and safety measures on Mashpee Commons Building 11B met with their <br />approval. <br />John Sullivan <br />The Board reviewed a letter from Attorney Kevin M. Kirrane on the <br />remand of the John Sullivan petition And -agreed to a remand hearing. <br />Little River Boatyard <br />Members sitting: William Hanrahan, Cheryl Hawver, Richard Halpern <br />The Board reviewed the parking plans for the boatyard. There was <br />discussion that Design Review had been asked for advisory opinions and <br />the Board agreed to meet at the site on Monday, June 19, 1989 with <br />representatives of the Design Review Committee. <br />• John Malloy - Requests a Special Permit under Section 6, subsection 19 <br />of the Land Use Requirements to construct and maintain a walkway, pier, ramp, <br />float and dock facility in an R-3 zoning district for property located at <br />Lot 166 Whippoorwill Circle (Map 125, Parcel 151) Mashpee, MA. Remanded <br />to the Board of Appeals by the Barnstable Superior Court. <br />Members sitting: William Hanrahan, Michael Makunas, Richard Halpern <br />Mr. Hanrahan stated that he had reviewed all of the shellfish studies <br />presented by the Shellfish Constable and Sabatia. Mr. Halpern stated he <br />had listened to all the arguments and said that the case is under the old <br />by-law and, in his opinion, the dock will not be detrimental to the <br />environment. <br />Mr. Halpern moved to grant the Special Permit as requested. Mr <br />Makunas seconded. All agreed. <br />Mr. Hanrahan and Mr. Somerville discussed the Petition. <br />Reorganization of the Board of Appeals - Mr. Hanrahan proposed the <br />following slate ofofficers for the Board of Appeals: <br />Cheryl Hawver, Chairman; Michael Makunas, Vice Chairman, and William <br />J. Hanrahan, Clerk. Mr. Hanrahan moved to approve, Mr. Makunas seconded, <br />all agreed. <br />• There was discussion on policies of the Board regarding the press. <br />It was agreed that there should be no discussion of cases before the Board <br />with the press or with any other interested parties. Ms. Hawver suggested <br />the Board review policies and procedures at a future meeting. <br />Ms. Hawver moved to postpone acceptance of the minutes of the May 24, 1989 <br />meeting until a future meeting . Mr. Halpern seconded. All agreed. <br />Meeting adjourned 9:15 P.M. Elinor Walsh <br />
