BOARD OF APPEALS Minutes - July 19, 1989 Page 2. <br />• There was discussion of the fact that the store has already sold some <br />tank refills. Mr. Muniz explained that when the retail store sells a gas <br />grill it is delivered with a full tank of gas and set up at the customer's <br />home. <br />Ms. Hawver read a memo from Deputy Fire Chief George W. Baker stating <br />that the Hall Oil Co. has complied with the requirements of the Massachusetts <br />Department of Public Safety and the regulations of the Mashpee Fire <br />Department.` " <br />Mr. Muniz explained that the tanks come in several sizes, 20, 30, <br />40, 50 and 100 gallon. Hall Oil does not refill anything over 60 pounds. <br />Mr. Govoni suggested that the word "grill" be eliminated to allow for <br />refills of both grill tanks and those on recreational vehicles. <br />Mr. Govoni moved to grant the Special Permit for the refill of <br />LP gas tanks. Mr. Makunas seconded. All agreed. <br />Minutes - Ms. Hawver moved to accept the minutes of the June 14, <br />June 21 and June 28, 1989 meetings of the Board of Appeals. Mr. Makunas <br />seconded. All agreed. <br />The members of the Board reviewed new applications, mail and signed <br />decisions. There was discussion of petitions for docks crossing reserve <br />land at Little Neck Bay. Douglas Boyd had discussed these with <br />Dan Buckley of New Seabury and learned that New Seabury will issue letters <br />• granting permission to cross the reserve land. There was'discussion of <br />the application of Alan Party Tent requesting permission to use a washing <br />machine. The Board of Appeals had denied the use of a machine in the <br />original Special Permit. The Board of Health had denied a recent <br />application for use of a washing machine. Mr. Makunas stated that the <br />Board of Appeals cannot vary Board of Health regulations. <br />Ms. Hawver announced that Cape Cod Community College will be <br />offering an evening course this fall on Land Development Law taught <br />by Charles Sabbatt. She and Mr. Makunas expressed interest in taking <br />it and asked if any Town funds were available for the $175 tuition. <br />Ms. Hawver said the Office of Communities and Development may have <br />some grant monies available to defray tuition for municipal board members. <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br />Elinor Walsh <br />L_J <br />
