MASHPEE BOARD OF APPEALS
• Minutes
September 13, 1989
The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday,
September 13, 1989 at 7:30 P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board
members present and acting throughout were Cheryl Hawver,
William l-ianrahan, Richard Halpern, Michael Makunas, Edward Govini
and John Friel. Douglas Boyd, building inspector, was in attendance.
Chairman Hawver called the meeting to order at 7:30.
Terrance S. Trottier - Requests a Special Permit under Section
6.3.F.2 of the Land Use Regulations to allow for used car sales in a
C-2 zoning district on property located at 446 Main Street.
(Map 27, Block 48A) Mashpee, MA.
Members sitting: Cheryl Hawver, William Hanrahan, Michael
Makunas
Presented by Terrance Trottier. At that time it was represented
as automotive repair and that was their concern. They have been
there two years already and they can now afford to buy some used
cars, repair them and sell.
Cheryl fawver asked if he was aware that a couple of years
ago it had to go to Town meeting for the vending machines and
at that time it was told at the meeting that thats all he was
looking for and that he would never ask for anything more than
the vending machine business. Cheryl asked if he was familiar
with that and did he have information about it.
Mr. Trottier stated no. At that time they went before the
board because they were buying the property and upon reviewing the
records they were all confused. The property was not commercial
it was grandfathered residential and so before they paid commercial
