Mr. Friel asked Mr. Mendelson to provide the Board with a complete set of detailed plans of the interior of the building and his plans for use of the site. Mr. Costa commented that the recharge area is being re-evaluated and it is confusing to have a recharge area in an industrial zone. Mr. Makunas asked if Mr. Mendelson could live with a Special Permit with restrictions. He asked if he would be willing to give up any outside storage and the U -Hauls. Mr. Mendelson agreed but said he would need a clean dry space to store tents. Mr. Costa asked for restrictions on washing trucks or changing oil. Mr. McQuaid said the Board of Health would have concerns with the use, of detergents outside. Mr. Friel moved to take the petition under advisement. Mr. Makunas seconded. All agreed. Ms. Hawver advised Mr. Mendelson to submit complete plans to other Town Boards before the Board of Appeals makes a final vote. • Continental Cablevision of Southern Mass., Inc. - (Owner of•record: Patrick M. Crowley, TR) - Requests a special Permit under Section 6.3.D.5 of the Land Use Regulations for permission to construct a Head End Site for commercial cablevision including tower, satellite dishes and transmission building in an I-1 zoning district on property located at 47 Industrial Drive (Map 88, Block 23) Mashpee, MA. Members sitting: C. Hawver, R. Halpern, E. Govoni Attorney Michael Dunning represented the applicant. He explained that the petition was for a transmission facility for Continental Cablevision who has been selected by the Selectmen to provide cable to Mashpee. He explained that it will require 13 months to complete the installation. Design Review committee had reviewed plans. Mr. Steve Habib, engineer, reviewed the plans. The plans included a small building, 4 satellite dishes and tower. Mr. Halpern asked what direction would the dishes face. Mr. Habib replied they would be South and West. Mr. Halpern asked if a building on an adjoining lot would interfere with reception. Mr. Habib said dishes would clear a 70' tree on an adjoining lot. Mr. Dunning stated that FAA approval had been applied for. No comments were received from abutters. Mr. Halpern moved to grant the Special Permit as requested. Mr. Govoni • seconded. All agreed. 1 ;.
