Board of Appeals Minutes - January 10, 1990 Page 6. <br />The Gap building had two-story elements as well as single -story elements. <br />They are proposing to take a single -story element and attach it to the <br />building to provide additional retail space. This will expand the <br />space and maintain the current setbacks. The proposal is to modify the <br />Special Permit on the expansion of space 8.14 from the existing <br />2,306 sq. feet to approximately 2,700 square feet. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to approve the Modification of the Special Permit. <br />Mr. Hanrahan seconded. All agreed. <br />Fields Point Ltd. Partnership - Requests a Special Permit under <br />Section 174-25.D.2 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to construct <br />a 15,000 square foot medical office building in a C-1 zoning district <br />on property located at 51 Nathan Ellis Highway (Map 74, Block 35) <br />Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: C. Hawver, M. Makunas, W. Hanrahan <br />Douglas Storrs represented Fields Point. He presented plans for <br />medical office building proposed to be built in two phases. The <br />first phase would be a 15,000 square foot building with an adjacent <br />building to be used as an entranceway. The second phase would be <br />a similar building on the other side of the entranceway. <br />The Board received a letter from Deputy Fire Chief George W. Baker <br />objecting to the lack of access for fire equipment on three sides of <br />the building. Mr. Stoors was asked to meet with the Fire Department <br />to resolve the access problems. <br />Mr. Boyd explained that the Design Review Committee had asked <br />for a reduction in height of planned gables on roof line. <br />Mr. Makunas asked that Mr. Storrs inform the Board in writing of <br />his resolution of the objections. <br />There was discussion of Fields Point making a presentation to the <br />Board of all of their plans for the development of projects 151 N.E. <br />and 151 W. <br />Mr. Makunas moved to take the Petition under advisement. <br />Mr. Hanrahan seconded. All agreed. <br />Bernard Kelly - (Advisement) <br />Mr. Hanrahan moved to deny the Petition. Mr. Makunas seconded.. All agreed. <br />Harold Cohen <br />Mr. Makunas moved to approve the Special Permit for a timber walkway. <br />Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />John Friel moved to accept the minutes of the December 13, 1989 meeting. <br />Mr. Halpern seconded. All agreed. <br />Mr. Halpern moved to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Friel seconded.
