BOARD OF APPEALS Minutes - March 14, 1990 4.
• Elias McQuaid, Health Agent, askedwhere the three cabs would be
maintained and serviced and where they would be washed. Ms. Kempton
replied that the 151 Shell would do the maintenance and she would be
washing them at her home in E. Falmouth.
Ms. Mills stated that she felt the current motel operation required
a Special Permit and Mr. Makunas asked if she had addressed any comments
to the Zoning Enforcement Officer, Douglas Boyd. Mr. Makunas said that
the restaurant had come before the Board for a Special Permit.
Mr. McQuaid commented that he thought it unfair to the applicant
to bring her into disucssion of other issues. He said she was only
asking for the transfer of one office into other office.
Selectwoman Jacobson asked if there was a parking plan for the complex.
There was discussion of the need for complete plans rather than the
office plan and the need of a cab company in the Town.
Mr. Makunas suggested the.Petition be taken under advisement to allow
the applicant to present plans and additional information.
Mr. Friel moved to deny without prejudice. Mr. Makunas seconded.
All agreed.
James B. and Margaret Reiffarth - Request a Special Permit under
Section 174-17 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to extend a non-
conforming structure with a building addition and deck in an R-3
zoning district on property located at 422 Monomoscoy Road (Map 124,
Block 48) Mashpee, MA.
Members present: C. Hawver, M. Makunas, J. Friel
Attorney Kevin Kirrane represented the applicant and presented
plans for a 216 sf house addition and an 8' x 10' deck. He explained
that the Board of Health had denied the septic plan and new plans would
be presented.
Elias McQuaid, Health Agent, said that the applicant had started work
without permits and received a stop work order. He suggested that if
the Board of Appeals granted the Permit it should be conditioned with
the approval of the Board of Health.
Mr. Friel moved to grant the Special Permit with the condition
that all other permits or legal requirements are met. Mr. Makunas seconded.
All agreed.
Richard Halpern returned to the meeting.
