Mr. Makunas stated that Iff-the perm -it is issued it would be' <br />based on the fact that the buildino be brought up to code. <br />• Robert Mills expressed opposition to the pro.iect. he was <br />concerned for the neighborhoods and traffic and felt that a <br />site visit may be warranted. He stated that the curb cut <br />• should be looked at. it is presently very wide with no <br />definition. Areas for entering and exiting should be <br />defined. Shrubbery and fencing should be used to reduce the <br />Impact of the noise and definitely should have a police <br />detail. <br />John Thelault stated that Falmouth has three clubs for 18 <br />year olds and under and Hyannis has two. He does not feel <br />that the teenagers are going to gather. <br />Mr. Pocknett stated that he does not have a blanket <br />oppositin to this pro.iect, he has seen them work and knows <br />they do work. but feels there is the possibility of this <br />becoming a drug and alcohol gathering soot. <br />Being no further discussion <br />reauest under advisement to <br />inspection. and come uo with <br />Hanrahan seconded the motion <br />John Friel moved to take this <br />allow time for an onsite <br />a possible compromise. Mr. <br />All present were in favor. <br />James L. Galvin - Mr. Richard Dubin requested to extend the <br />Galvin file until August 22, 1990, <br />Mr. Friel moved to grant the extension. Mr. Govoni seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. Mr. Hanrahan did riot paifi:cipate <br />in this action. <br />Mr. Ron Bonvi of Southport was in to request permission to <br />amend his Special Permit to allow various changes to the <br />units.. such as basement units. kitchen areas etc. <br />Mr. Boyd stated that basement units would require approval. <br />Mr. Makunas explained that the problem was between the <br />Building Inspector and he and that if the Building Inspector <br />denied his request than he could appeal the decision to the <br />Board of Appeals. <br />Mr. Bonvi stated he would apply for permission from the <br />Building Inspector and if denied would come back to the <br />Board. <br />Being no further business.
