TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />Board of Appeals <br />Minutes <br />September 12, 1990 <br />The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 12, 1990 at 7:30 P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board <br />members present and acting throughout were: Michael A. Makunas, <br />Vice Chairman; B. Thomas Christian and Edward M. Govoni, Associate <br />Members. John J. Friel, Associate Member, was present for all <br />hearings except Mark Eynation. Building Inspector Douglas S. Boyd <br />was in attendance. Mr. Makunas was acting Chairman and Mr. Govoni <br />was acting Clerk. <br />Fields Point Limited Partnership - Requests a Special Permit <br />under Section 174-25.D.1 of the Zoning By-laws and the conditions of <br />SP -86-04-024 for permission to occupy a business office in Space 11A.202 <br />for Advertising Associated of Cape Cod on property located in a C-1 <br />zoning district at Mashpee Commons, 38 Nathan Ellis Highway (Map 74, <br />Block 20) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: M. Makunas, J. Friel, E. Govoni <br />Douglas Storrs of Fields.Point represented the applicant. He <br />informed the Board that the permit was required by the original permit. <br />The firm had outgrown other space in Mashpee Commons and was now <br />• going into new, larger space above the theatre lobby. <br />Mr. Friel moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr. Govoni seconded. <br />All agreed. <br />Fields Point Limited Partnership - Requests a Special Permit under <br />Section 174.25.D.2 of the Zoning By-laws and the conditions of SP -86-04-024 <br />to construct a portion of Building No. 19 for use as a medical office <br />building on the first floor and up to three residential units on the <br />second floor on property located in a C-1 zoning district at Mashpee <br />Commons, 38 Nathan Ellis Highway (Map 74, Block 20) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: M. Makunas, T. Christian, E. Govoni <br />Mr. Storrs presented plans for a medical building within Mashpee <br />Commons. He explained that the medical building approved for 151 near <br />the Police Station was larger and more expensive than what is required <br />by Falmouth Hospital at the present time. <br />The new building would be a portion of the planned Building 19 <br />and would be 60' x 50' with doctor's offices on the first floor and <br />four 700 sf residential units on the second floor. Ultimately the <br />first floor will be retail and the second floor office space. Market <br />will dictate the use. He said the Design Review Committee suggested <br />windows on both sides and this will be done. <br />16 Mr. Govoni questioned the access to residential units and <br />Mr. Makunas suggested a separate entrance from the medical facility. <br />
