TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />Board of Appeals <br />i <br />Minutes <br />September 26, 1990 <br />The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting Wednesday, <br />September 26, 1990 at 7:35 p.m. at the Mashpee Town Hall. <br />Board members present and acting throughout were: Michael A. <br />Makunas, Vice Chairman; William J. Hanrahan, Clerk; B. Thomas <br />Christian, John J. Friel, Edward M. Govoni, Associate Members. <br />Building Inspector Douglas S. Boyd was in attendance for the <br />Reardon and Rosenberg hearings. Mr. Makunas was acting Chairman. <br />Linda Young - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-17 <br />of the Zoning By-laws for permission to expand a non -conforming <br />structure with the construction of house additions and decks in <br />an R-3 zoning district on property located at 167 Water Way <br />(Map 111 Block 87) Mashpee, MA (Owner of Record: Meyer J. <br />Shnitzler). <br />Members sitting: M. Makunas, W. Hanrahan, E. Govoni <br />Peter Vanderbil represented the applicant. Applicant <br />is looking for relief on setback by approximately three feet. <br />According to Mr. Vanderbil abutters were notified and there <br />was no one present who objected. <br />4 Mr. Hanrahan moved to grant the Special Permit as requested and <br />referenced drawing of August 17, 1990 which includes all of <br />the dimensions. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. Mr. Makunas <br />reminded Mr. Vanderbil of the twenty day waiting period. <br />SCCA Inc. - South Cape Civic Assoc. Inc. requests a Special <br />Permit under Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for <br />permission to construct a dock, ramp and float in an R-3 zoning <br />district on property located at 112 Whipporwill Circle (Map 125, <br />Block 149) Mashpee, MA. <br />Members sitting: M. Makunas, W. Hanrahan, E. Govoni <br />John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands Surveying represented the <br />applicant. Planned project consists of a dock, ramp and float <br />seventy feet from the mean high water mark. <br />Mr. Hanrahan requested continuance to next meeting because <br />there has not been feedback from the Shellfish Warden. According <br />to Mr. Slavinsky this application is slated to go before the <br />Conservation Commission on October 18. Mr. Hanrahan then suggested <br />continuance to the next available meeting after October 18. Board <br />secretary is to write letter to Shellfish Warden confirming date <br />Of continued hearing. <br />is % <br />
