�1 <br /> I I <br /> Article 4.6 Regulations Relative to Public Safety. <br /> Section 4.6.1 Mechanical Protection Devices. It shall be unlawful <br /> to install a mechanical protection device that is <br /> automatically keyed to and/or listed to the Mashpee <br /> Fire Department and Police Department. All such <br /> devices installed before the effective date of this <br /> section shall be removed within sixty days. Mechan- <br /> ical protection devices shall be defined as: an <br /> electrically-operated instrument composed of sensory <br /> apparatus and related hardware which automatically <br /> sends over regular telephone lines, by direct con- <br /> nection or otherwise, a pre-recorded voice alarm <br /> upon receipt of a stimulus from the sensory appa- <br /> ratus that has detected a physical force or condition <br /> inherently characteristic of a fire or an unauthorized <br /> instrusion. <br /> Section 4. 6. 2 Smoke or Heat Detectors. Hotels, boarding or lodging <br /> houses, family hotels or apartment houses containing <br /> six or more dwelling units which are not regulated by <br /> Sections 26A and 26B of Chapter 148 of the General Laws <br /> shall be equipped with an automatic smoke or heat <br /> detector in each dwelling unit and each hallway floor. <br /> The head of the fire department, as defined in Section 1 <br /> of Chapter 148, shall enforce the provisions of this <br /> section. The Town hereby accepts the provisions of <br /> Chapter 148, Section 26C, of the General Laws. <br /> Section 4. 6. 3 Fences Around Outdoor Swimming Pools. All private <br /> outdoor swimming pools shall be fenced around the <br /> entire perimeter of the pool to a height not less <br /> than five feet from grade, except for any fence in <br /> existence on the effective date of this by-law which <br /> may have a height of not less than four feet. Any <br /> person violating the provisions of this by-law shall be <br /> punished by a fine not to exceed $20 . 00 for each offense. <br /> (Approved at Town Meeting, May 18, 1981) <br /> (Approved by Attorney General, August 19, 1981) <br /> Section 4.6. 4 Snow Plowing - Parked Vehicles. The Superintendent <br /> of Streets is authorized to remove or cause to be <br /> removed to some convenient place, including a public f ' <br /> garage, any vehicle interfering with the work of removing <br /> or plowing snow, or removing ice , from any way in Town. <br /> The cost of such removal and of the storage charges, if <br /> any, resulting therefrom shall be imposed upon the owner <br /> of such vehicle, but in no event shall such liability <br /> exceed $200 .00. <br /> i� <br /> Section 4. 6 . 5 Gas Stations. Any gas station established in the Town <br /> of Mashpee shall be required to meet all the rules and f <br /> regulations set forth by the State Fire Marshall' s Office <br /> and any additional rules and regulations required by <br /> the local fire chief.
