rFz , <br /> qd:, <br /> 1 <br /> mooning or object so placed, or any vessel im- <br /> properly secured, swamped, sunk, washed ashore or <br /> found in a restricted area must be removed and re- <br /> located by the owner at the direction of the <br /> Harbormaster or an Assistant Harbormaster. If <br /> corrective action is not taken after 72 hours notice <br /> to the owner, or if the owner is not known, <br /> after notice has been posted for the same period <br /> at the Mashpee 'Town Hall, or on or near such <br /> vessel, mooring or object, the Harbormaster or <br /> Assistant Harbormaster may take corrective action. <br /> The expense of such removal or relocation and any <br /> liability incurred therefor shall be the responsi- <br /> bility of the owner. I <br /> b. In the event that the owner of a vessel, mooring <br /> or other object which has been abondoned, or otherwise <br /> placed where it will constitute a danger to navigational i <br /> or public safety, in violation of Section 4.7.4a, the <br /> Harbormaster, after havingremoved <br /> same pursuant to the <br /> foregoing section, shall give notice to the owner, or if <br /> the owner is not known, after notice has been posted at l <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, or on, or near the vessel, mooring or j <br /> object, that he intends to sell at public auction <br /> the property removed unless claimed within 90 days <br /> of posting of said notice of intent to sell. All <br /> proceeds from said sale shall be used to defray <br /> the cost and expenses of removing, giving of notice <br /> or notices, and sale, and the balance of the proceeds <br /> shall be turned over to the owner or held by the Town <br /> Treasurer subject to claim by the owner if the owner is <br /> unknown. <br /> I' <br /> c. Nothing in the above shall be deemed to restrict <br /> earlier action by the Harbormaster or an Assistant <br /> Harbormaster, with or without notice to the owner, <br /> if, in their judgment, such action is necessary <br /> to protect life or property, or if such object is a i <br /> hindrance to navigation. <br /> Section 4.7.5 Water Skiing or Jet Skiing <br /> a. There shall be no water skiing or jet skiing within <br /> 150 feet of shorelines, bathers, boats underway by means <br /> other than motors, or boats not underway, nor in <br /> shallow or narrow areas properly posted as "no wash", <br /> "no wake", or 116 MPH maximum speed" areas. Ski j <br /> starts and stops shall not be permitted within 150 <br /> feet of any shoreline except that the Town may designate <br /> an area or areas which will be properly posted indicating i. <br /> that starts and stops are permitted from shore within <br /> , this specified beach area. <br /> i l i <br /> .
