Page 3 Schools Ms. King handed out a copy of Mashpee Public Schools system wide enrollments. She suggested setting up a joint meeting with the School Committee to discuss the high school.. Ms. King would discuss a joint meeting with Chairman Janice Mills. Ms. King indicated that she would push for early November and ask the principal to join in the discussion. Town Meeting The Committee agreed that before attending Town Meeting again they would need to do more research and present the information better. The Committee then discussed their previous meeting with the Selectmen regarding contracts. Mr. Goggin mentioned that the Selectmen and Mr. whritenour did feel that they stayed within the parameters set by the Finance Committee. Mr. Watt suggested putting forth a change of By-Law requiring the Finance Committee's attendance at contract negotiations. Mr. Golub agreed that the Committee, as well as the Selectmen, should both approve contracts prior to the taxpayers getting them. Mr. Watt said that he would do some research on this matter. Mr. Golub asked Mr. Watt if he would also do some research and find out what other towns have their Finance Committee's involved in. Mr. Bacigalupi suggested having a call in television show from 7: 30PM to 8:OOPM. The Committee felt that this might be a good idea. Mr. Bacigalupi stated that he would contact the newspapers' editors and invite them to attend the next Finance Committee meeting on Tuesday, October 24th. The discussion would be how the Committee could better communicate with the newspapers. Mr. Watt indicated that he would attempt to get copies of existing contracts. The meeting adjourned at 8:30PM.
