2 <br /> • Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 19, 2002 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: (continued) <br /> Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee Chairman Richard Terry invited <br /> members of the Board ofSelectmen to-attend an informal meeting on <br /> Tuesday,November 12, 2002 to.further discuss affordable housing needs <br /> in the Town of Mashpee.-The meeting will be held in the cafeteria of the <br /> high school. <br /> Barnstable County—County Surplus Funds: <br /> County Commissioner Mary LeClair was present with Roland DuPont and <br /> Marcia King to review the services managed cooperatively through the <br /> regional government known as Barnstable County. <br /> A booklet describing services provided by the County was distributed for <br /> informational purposes. The County Dredge, Cape Light Compact, <br /> Department of Human Services and Fire-Rescue Training Academy are <br /> some of the services offered to the fifteen Cape communities. <br /> Ms. LeClair also presented a check to the Board of Selectmen in the <br /> amount of$13,473.73 in surplus funding. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment of Senior PWoll/Collections Clerk: <br /> Selectman Taylor stepped down for the above referenced agenda topic. <br /> Maryanne Gibbs, Treasurer/Tax Collector was present to recommend the <br /> Board appoint Katherine Milligan to the full-time position of Senior <br /> Payroll/Collections Clerk, 37.5 hours per week. <br /> It was noted that Ms. Milligan is currently employed by the Town as <br /> Principal Clerk in the Treasurer/Tax Collector's Office since April 2002. <br /> Ms. Milligan applied for the position after the in-house posting. She is <br /> trained in the MUNIS software system, and holds an A.S. in Business <br /> Administration and Management. <br /> • <br />
