192 Annual Town Meeting Warrant, March 1, 7.971 (cont'd) The following resolution was presented for a vote: Resolution "Be it resolved that the voters of the Town of Mashpee herein now, this first day of March, 7.971, express their wishes in regard to studying the possibility of the Town of Mashpee becoming a member of a Vocational School District by a show of hands." Action: Motion made and seconded the Resolution be accepted as I read. 146 for, none opposed. A unanimous vote. Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds, the sum of $500 for expenses for the Vo- cational School Study Committee, or take any other action thereon. Action: Motion made and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $500. A unanimous vote. Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available fund9, the sum of $1,440 for rental of space for the Head Start Program. Action: Motion made and seconded article read to raise and approp- riate the sum of $1,440. A unanimous vote. Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $2,000 to finance the Mashpee Head Start Program. Action: Motion made and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $2,000. A unanimous vote. Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate ' $1,500 for sanitary facilities (chemical) at South Cape Beach. Action: Motion made and seconded that article be accepted as read. A vote. Article 25. To see if the Town will instruct the Board of Selectmen to petition the Massachusetts Divison of waterways to dredge a channel from Wacuoit Bay into Great and Little Rivers to a minimum depth of 6 feet and width of 50 feet. Action: Motion made and seconded article be tabled. A vote. Article 26. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000 for the Conservation Commission Fund in accordance with Chapter 40, Section 5, Clause 51 of the General. Laws, or take any other action thereon. Action: Motion made and seconded that article be accepted as read. So voted. Article 27. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to sell to Richardson Jonas of Mashpee, a parcel of land formerly owned by Frederick D. Jonas et al and which parcel is described in a deed by the Collector of Taxes for the Town of Mashpee to the Town of Mashpee and recorded in Barnstable County Deeds, Book 495, Page 361 for the sum ' of $54.48. Action: Motion made and seconded article be amended to read $254.48. A vote. Motion made and seconded article be accepted as amended. A vote. Article 28. To see if the Town will vote to sell certain land owned by the Town, to wit, parcels 48, 50 and 51 situated between Cedar Street and Hemlock Street in the Town of Mashpee as more particularly shown on Town of Mashpee Assessors' Plan Sheet 77, for a total. sale price of no less than Five Hundred (8500) Dollars. Sale of said land to be made to Leonard W. Peck and Margaret S. Peck, husband and wife, as tenants by the entirety, both of Piney Road, Cotuit, Massachusetts.
