402 <br />TOWN OF MASHPEE w <br />SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br />November 2, 1977 <br />THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS <br />Barnstable, ss: <br />To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby ' <br />directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town of <br />Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the elections to meet at <br />the Queen of All Saints Church, Great Neck Road, Mashpee, on <br />Wednesday, November 2, 1977, at seven o'clock, p.m., for the <br />following purposes: <br />On September 28, 1977 the Special Town Meeting was adjourned <br />to November 2, 1977. This reconvened meeting was called to order <br />at 7:10 p.m. A quorum was present. Attendance was 352. Teller: <br />Nancy Cannata, Grace Maddox, Mary Potter, Eleanor Thaxton. <br />To act on the Articles contained in the following Warrant: <br />ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to add to the 1975 <br />Mashpee Bylaws, Chapter III, Article VI, Section 2, the following: <br />"All private, outdoor swimming pools in existence and to be <br />built, shall be fenced around the entire perimeter of the <br />pool to a height not less than five feet (5') from grade <br />for the period starting January 1, 1978. Any person vio- <br />lating the provisions of this Bylaw shall be punished by a <br />fine not to exceed twenty dollars ($20.00) for each offense." <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to accept Article 1 as ' <br />read. Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to accept Chapter 140, <br />Section 194 - 196 inclusive of the Massachusetts General Laws <br />which require a permit prior to conducting a'boat rental business <br />on any great pond within the Town of Mashpee, or take any other <br />action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to accept Article 2 as <br />read. Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter III', <br />Article fI, Section 3, of the Bylaws of the Town by deleting the <br />second sentence of the first paragraph thereof and substituting <br />therefor the following sentence, or take any other action with <br />respect thereto: <br />"For the purpose of the bylaw, the word "Trailer" is defined <br />to mean a "Mobile Home," "Travel Trailer", "Pickup Coach", <br />"Motor Home", or "Camping Trailer", all as defined in <br />Section 2.18 of the Zoning Bylaw of the Town, but excluding <br />vehicles used only for the transportation of materials, <br />products or animals." ' <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded that Article 3 be accepted <br />as read. Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter III, <br />Article V, of the Bylaws of the Town by adopting the following <br />paragraph as Section 10 thereof, or take any other action with <br />respect thereto: <br />"Section 10. Camping - No person shall set up, camp in or <br />otherwise occupy a tent, automobile or trailer as defined <br />
