412 <br />c <br />TOWN OFTMASHP,EE"l.A".:-i-EE <br />SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br />December.19, 1977 <br />THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS <br />Barnstable, ss: ' <br />T"o the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are <br />hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town <br />of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in the elections, to meet <br />at the Queen of All Saints Church, Great Neck Road, Mashpee, on <br />Monday, December 19, 1977, at seven o'clock, p.m., for the follow- <br />ing purposes: <br />To act on the Articles contained in the following Warrant: <br />A Quorum was present. Moderator Frank Leonardi opened the <br />meeting at 7:20 p.m. Tellers: Jane Bartholomew, Marian Folkins, <br />Mary Potter, Eleanor Thaxton. <br />ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from avail- <br />able funds a sum of money to the Legal and Engineering Accounts, <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: A motion was made to transfer from available funds <br />the sum of $125,000 to the Legal and Engineering Account. Motion <br />carried. <br />ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate ' <br />a sum of money to be applied to the Legal and Engineering Account, <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to table Article 2. <br />Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br />_a sum of money to be applied to the Selectmen's Expense Account, <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 3 to <br />read: To see if the Town will vote to transfer from available <br />funds the sum of $5,000 to be applied to the Selectmen's Expense <br />Account. Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br />or take from available funds the following sum to pay unpaid bills <br />incurred in prior fiscal years: <br />SCHOOL DEPARTMENT <br />New Bedford Gas & Edison Light Co ............... $ <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to take from available , <br />funds the sum of $473.40 to pay unpaid bills incurred in prior <br />fiscal years: <br />SCHOOL DEPARTMENT <br />New Bedford Gas & Edison Light Co ................ $473.40 <br />Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to add to the 1975 Mashpee <br />Bylaws, Chapter III, Article VI, Section 3 the following: <br />"Any commercial enterprise seeking to install leased protective <br />alarm monitoring equipment, or systems, in the Town Police or Fire <br />Department shall be first required to furnish bond to the sub- <br />
